ABOUT US
Our
Mission
for the Rarely Heard
The ALLYSON WHITNEY FOUNDATION is dedicated to easing the financial burdens of young adult cancer patients (16-36) through ‘Life Interrupted Grants’, enabling them to prioritize healing. We aim to support this frequently neglected demographic, bringing much-needed awareness to ‘rare’ cancers and their impact.
Ally’s
Story
Ally was a great beauty but reveled in the little things in life. She loved wearing her sweatpants and hoodies. She could also be caught eating sprinkles from a jar! Ally loved rooting for her NY teams, the Knicks, Giants, and Mets. Her family and friends meant everything to her. She had a light, dancing spirit and a contagious smile. She was little, blonde, and smart. Ally earned her bachelor’s degree at St John’s University and went on to her graduate work at CW Post in Speech Pathology. She was 24 years old, had just graduated, and was starting her first real ‘adult job’ when she heard the words, “it’s cancer.”

Recognizing the
Global Impact
of Cancer
Our Logo

The ALLYSON WHITNEY FOUNDATION logo features a simple, yet powerful design that represents strength, hope and empowerment. The logo is sphere shaped to represent cancer as a global issue with no boundries to seeking hope. The logo includes abstract ribbons as bands that lops and intertwines in a smooth and flowing manner to show we are banding together to give help. The multi color palette symbolizes different types of cancers, including rare ones.
“No Life Should be Interrupted by Cancer.”
