This fall, I’m running the Dublin Marathon in support of the Allyson Whitney Foundation, which provides “Life Interrupted Grants” to young adults (ages 16–36) facing rare cancers, helping them pay essential living expenses like rent, utilities, insurance, travel for treatment, and other costs that pile up during care.

Our family knows the heartbreak of cancer firsthand, after my wife Sheila passed away, and while we were fortunate not to struggle with everyday bills during her illness, many families are not as lucky. Sheila and I have always believed it was important to help others, whether it was raising money for the Ronald McDonald House, Shriners, or local veterans groups, and we have always felt called to support those who needed a hand.
The Allyson Whitney Foundation carries that same spirit of compassion, stepping in with direct grants so young adults can worry less about bills and more about getting well.

Thank you to everyone who donates to my Dublin Marathon fundraising effort and supports the Allyson Whitney Foundation’s mission to bring hope and practical help to young adults battling cancer.
