We are beyond thankful and humbled by all the amazing support we have received from old and new supporters, donors and sponsors! Whether the donation was $10 or $1,000 every single one is appreciated. Our charity runners along with their donors, their families & friends who encourage them and fuel their passion to us is truly inspiring. 

With your belief in us, you keep propelling us to do more and more good in your names to keep spreading the word that rare cancers matter and young adult patients need a helping hand when diagnosed with a cancer diagnosis.  We can’t stop yet!

November 5th, was ELECTRIC at the TCS New York City Marathon. Our squad of 23 runners was our biggest yet, even our Endurance Director Melissa got to drop into the mix this year and participate to run.

AWF met the squad on Saturday the 4th for  a gratitude meet and greet at Printers Alley in NYC for a pre-celebration party. It was so awesome to meet their partners, spouses and family! On race day, the AWF cheerleaders ( Barbara, Diane & Barbara) proudly waved our logo flag at our cheer stop between mile 19 and 20 before the Willis Avenue Bridge. We couldn’t contain our enthusiasm  jumping up and down when we spotted one of our athlete runners wearing our logo race shirts from New Balance. We spied our hoo rags and tattoos!  We love the drop-bys from family & friends too who are the runners BIGGEST cheerleaders as they hop on the trains to catch another glimpse of their runner at the next stop on the 26.2 mile journey.
