One of the Allyson Whitney Foundation’s newest initiatives that Ally truly believed in, is providing critical oncofertility support to young adult cancer patients. Many young adults diagnosed with cancer face the devastating possibility of infertility after treatment. Chemotherapy and other life-saving therapies can impact the reproductive system, leaving both male and female patients at risk of infertility.

To help address this need, the Allyson Whitney Foundation (AWF) has partnered with Golisano Children’s Hospital, part of the Lee Health Foundation serving six counties in Fort Myers, FL, supporting their AYA (Adolescent & Young Adult) Fertility Endowment program. The endowment generously donated by AWF is proud to contribute to this important resource that brings hope and preserves future possibilities for young patients undergoing fertility-threatening treatments. “GIVE A LIFE, SAVE A LIFE”.

This meaningful relationship began in November 2024 with an initial $25,000 grant. One year later, we are honored to donate an additional $25,000. To date, these contributions have helped nine young patients take essential steps toward fulfilling their dreams of having a family and living full lives after cancer treatment.

The Impact Beyond Numbers

“All patients who have participated are newly diagnosed and must make decisions during an incredibly difficult and emotional time. Knowing that they have this option without worrying about cost is a gift to both the patient and their family,” representatives from the Lee Health Foundation shared.

“We are deeply grateful for the partnership with the Allyson Whitney Foundation. Your commitment ensures that young people in our community facing cancer and other serious diagnoses can focus on their treatment and recovery without sacrificing their dreams of future parenthood.”

This Work Is Only Possible Because of You!

None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our donors.
